Quality Assurance

Quality assurance begins with the selection of experienced translators within our global network of 2,000+ locally-based professional linguists. A linguist accepted into our network must have minimum of 5 years against the subject matter expertise, and 5+ years as a professional, certified translator who are native speakers in the target language, and are subject matter experts in the topic of the source content. 

Our Linguists

Our linguists are professional, native tongue in the languages that they translate into, and are certified from ATA, UN, Department of State, ITI, and other professional language certifications. We vet and accept our professional linguists utilizing stringent internal standards that are based upon collective knowledge, regulated by experts we use (our internal judges grade all applicants for linguists). We source linguists within our network based on their 5+ years experience in specific subject matter expertise, which is especially important for some sectors within the NGO and international development industry. 

Linguists are vetted carefully to prove native tongue fluency in the language in which they translate or interpret. Compass can perform translations on 200+ languages, or 450+ pairings and dialects. Our highly-vetted network of linguists ensures we can translate and/or interpret in all commercial languages of the world, and all low-density languages of the world.
